Obdulio Varela

Obdulio Varela symbol of " Garra Charrua " and mastermind of the Maracana in 1950. Legend in peñarol. Who for many represents the caudillo of Uruguayan football , was born on September 20- 1917 at Curves Industries , Montevideo . He began his career in the team Pascual Somma and then moved to Deportivo Juventud in 1936 for signing a year later with the Wanderers of the Uruguayan first division tournament.
